Urbanisation

The process of Roman spatial organisation – the first urbanisation of our region – is displayed by the examples of archaeological sites in northern Croatia, the Roman towns (Siscia, Andautonia, Iovia), settlements (Aquae Iasae), and villae Benkovac), and the characteristics of Roman architecture and building paraphernalia on the examples of architectural and ornamental elements found at these sites. Roman roads, an important element in urbanisation, are also displayed, together with wagon parts kept in the Museum.
