Dagger

The decoration of the dagger scabbard cat. no. 24 is very similar, and its structure is identical. The first field contains a medallion with a rosette, while in the second field there is a rectangle inside of which are two crosses made of interlaced leaves, placed one above the other.

The rosette in the third field, in the same way as in the first, is not lined with a laurel wreath but with a plain circle. The last triangular field is decorated with the same motif as on the dagger cat. no. 16, that is a stylized branch lined with a laurel wreath. It is interesting that the dagger cat. no. 24 was sheathed into the scabbard back to front.
