Dagger
Dagger
Both daggers, by the shape of the blade and by the hilt, can be dated to the first half of the 1st century A. D. Their scabbards only corroborate such dating.
The dagger scabbard no. 16 consists of two iron plaques with wooden edge plating. Decoration on the front is divided into 4 fields. The decoration is carried out in inlay and enamel, and for this brass and red enamel were used. The motifs are typical for that type. They were initially engraved and then inlaid and enameled.
