Kompolje

Grave 47 from Kompolje with its contents represents an exceptional finding on the area of Lika. The necklace put together of round amber beads, among which there are 5 figuratively decorated, is a veritable masterpiece of Italic workshops. Three beads are worked out in the shape of woman's head, one in the shape of a man and one in the shape of a swan.

The funerary set also contains two fibulae with pectoral decorations and bullae, amulets that are all domestic production. All the findings indicate strong merchant connections among the prehistoric peoples, openness toward foreign influence that often connects with the local taste.
