Amber items
Amber occupies a special place in the Iapodian culture. This resin, imported from the far-away Baltic countries, was exceptionally precious in the prehistoric times, which is the best proof of the material wealth of the Iapodes. It can be found in the range from tiny granules to big beads, individual or put together in necklaces, pectoral decorations, decorations on fibulae, pins and the like.
There are interesting beads with pressed-in concentric circles or geometric decorations. From the number of figural decorated beads the figure of the small amber horse is especially standing out and so are the beads in the shape of a goat's head.
