Bronze jewellery from the Late Iron Age
Bronze jewellery from the Late Iron Age
The jewellery was a part of the attire that was most subject to changes. The shape, material and technology of manufacturing changed depending on the fashion. In the course of the Late Iron Age, except for simple and modestly ornamented specimens of fibulae, necklaces, bracelets both for arms and ankles made from bronze and iron, richly ornamented jewellery was also worn.
It was decorated by plastically worked out motifs, cast pseudo-filigree or granulation noticeable also on the fibulae and bracelets for arms and ankles from Vukovar, Vučedol and Kupinovo.
