Inventory of the Vučedol house

Vučedol Culture
Houses built like the ones in the Neolithic had one or two rooms. In the house there was the fireplace above which, on a ceramic hook, a cooking dish was hanging. Many dishes similar to saltcellars, strainers, ceramic spoons and different types of smaller and bigger dishes and jars point to the rather high living standard and a rich kitchen inventory.
In the interior part of the house a pot was dug into the floor where drinking water was probably kept. What was preserved from the furniture were only clay models of a table and chairs found in Vučedol. They were most probably made from wood or wicker twigs.
